Quick-Comfort Egg Noodles and Cabbage

  1. Heat large saucepot of salted water to boiling over high heat; add noodles and cook as label directs.
  2. Meanwhile, in nonstick 12-inch skillet, heat margarine or butter and oil over medium heat until melted and hot.
  3. Add onion and cook 20 minutes or until onion is tender and golden, stirring occasionally.
  4. Increase heat to medium-high; add cabbage, pepper, thyme, and 3/4 teaspoon salt, and cook 5 minutes or until cabbage is tender-crisp and golden, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in frozen peas and broth; cook 2 minutes, stirring.
  6. Drain noodles; return to saucepot.
  7. Add cabbage mixture and Parmesan, and toss well to coat.
