chilli pepper, filled
- 1 bunch radishes
- 200 grams plain yoghourt
- 1 pinch each of salt ,pepper, sweet paprika and sugar
- 1/2 lime ,grated and juice
- 12 large sweet green chillis or red bell
- 1 bunch wild garlic
- 50 ml milk
- 1 large egg
- 250 grams mild soft sheep or cheese
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 large cup of breadcrumbs
- 1 cup oil or frying
- wash the radish cut into thin sticks mix with yoghurt .
- add salt pepper,paprika,sugar and some of the lime juice and shredded skin.
- cover set aside.
- clean and de-seed the chilli pepper,
- clean the wild garlic leaves (use a couple of good handful of garlic chives if you can not get the wild garlic ), mix with cheese ,milk ,salt ,pepper and the rest of the juice and rind of lime.
- fill into a cake decorating bag and fill the chilli pepper with this mixture.
- whisk the egg on a plate.
- first turn the pepper in flour then the egg then the bread crumbs.
- fry in plenty of hot oil for five minutes.
- serve with the radish sauce and a pitta type flat bread
- makes six portiones for mezze
