Buffet Bean Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a medium skillet, fry bacon until crisp.
  3. Remove from skillet, crumble and set aside.
  4. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of drippings from skillet.
  5. Add packed brown sugar, vinegar, salt and prepared mustard.
  6. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. In a large bowl, combine drained butter beans, French green beans, pork and beans, lima beans, yellow wax beans, kidney beans, 1/2 can of French fried onions and hot sugar mixture.
  7. Spoon in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  8. Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
  9. Top with bacon and rest of onion.
  10. Bake 5 minutes more to brown.
  11. Makes 12 to 14 servings.
