Caramel Apple Swirl Cake
- 1 pkg. (250 g) Philadelphia Brick Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) golden cake mix
- 2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, chopped
- 25 Kraft Caramels (about 1/2 of 269-g pkg.)
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Spray 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray; cover bottom with parchment.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl with mixer until blended.
- Add egg; beat on low speed just until blended.
- Prepare cake batter in separate bowl as directed on package; stir in apples.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Top with spoonfuls of cheesecake batter; swirl gently with knife.
- Bake 35 to 40 min.
- or until top is golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Cool completely.
- Microwave caramels and milk in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min.
- or until caramels are completely melted, stirring every 30 sec.
- Drizzle over cake.
