Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies

  1. Melt chocolate and butter; cool.
  2. Stir together the flour, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
  3. In mixer bowl, beat 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla.
  4. Gradually add 3/4 cup of the sugar.
  5. Beat until thick and lemon colored.
  6. Add dry ingredients; beat until well combined.
  7. Stir in chocolate mixture and nuts. Beat cheese and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
  8. Spread half of the chocolate mixture in greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
  9. Pour cheese mixture over.
  10. Top with remaining chocolate mixture.
  11. Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
  12. Cool.
  13. Cut into squares.
