Chocolate Cream Cheese Brownies
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg, beaten
- Melt chocolate and butter; cool.
- Stir together the flour, baking powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- In mixer bowl, beat 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla.
- Gradually add 3/4 cup of the sugar.
- Beat until thick and lemon colored.
- Add dry ingredients; beat until well combined.
- Stir in chocolate mixture and nuts. Beat cheese and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
- Spread half of the chocolate mixture in greased and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Pour cheese mixture over.
- Top with remaining chocolate mixture.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Cool.
- Cut into squares.
