Jamaican-Style Jerk Chicken
- 24 each large chicken drumsticks (5 oz./140 g each), skinned
- 1-1/2 cups Kraft Calorie-Wise Rancher's Choice Dressing, divided
- 1-1/2 cups green onions, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ground allspice
- 1/4 cup hot pepper sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice Safeway 3 ct For $1.00 thru 02/09
- 1 Tbsp. curry powder
- Place chicken in large shallow dish.
- Mix 3/4 cup (175 mL) dressing (or 2 Tbsp.
- 30 mL dressing for trial recipe) with all remaining ingredients; spoon over chicken.
- Turn chicken to evenly coat.
- Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate.
- Refrigerate remaining dressing until ready to use.
- Heat greased grill to medium heat.
- Grill chicken 30 to 35 min.
- or until done (170 degrees F), turning occasionally and brushing each drumstick with 1/2 Tbsp.
- (7 mL) of the remaining dressing.
