Chocolate Pecan Bars
- 1 3/4 c. flour, sifted
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 2 sq. semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Sift 1 1/2 cups flour, cinnamon and baking powder in large bowl.
- Stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar.
- Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly.
- Pat into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 minutes.
- Beat eggs and remaining ingredients except pecans with blender until blended. Pour over dough in pan.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
- Return to oven and bake 30 minutes.
