Sesame Bread For Bread Machines
- 2 tsp. dry yeast
- 3 c. bread flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. dry milk
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. shortening
- 11 oz. lukewarm water
- 2 Tbsp. toasted sesame seed
- 4 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- Measure flour in large mixing bowl.
- Add baking powder and salt and mix well.
- Work in shortening until distributed evenly. Add lukewarm water.
- Mix well, working dough until smooth.
- Cover. Let stand for 20 minutes.
- Roll out on floured board to 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut in 3 to 4-inch squares.
- Fry in deep hot oil until golden brown on both sides, turning once.
- This recipe can be halved for a family of four.
