Chicken With Milk And Rice

  1. Wash the chicken pieces.
  2. Place them with the water in a saucepan and boil; add the cardamon seed, mastica and salt.
  3. Cook for 1 hour.
  4. Remove chicken pieces and set aside.
  5. Strain broth and place in the saucepan with the rice; allow to boil, then simmer.
  6. Add the cream to the milk; mix well.
  7. When the rice is cooked, add the milk mixture, gently stirring.
  8. Heat the butter and stir in the 2 pieces of mastica.
  9. When melted, pour immediately over the rice and cover for 5 minutes.
  10. Stir the rice mixture and serve in a platter with the chicken pieces on top.
