Easy Hearty Lasagna
- 1 jar (28 oz.) spaghetti sauce (about 2-3/4 cups)
- 1 lb. ground beef, cooked, drained King Sooper's 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 container (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 6 lasagna noodles, cooked, drained, rinsed
- 1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese or KRAFT Hearty Italian Style Shredded Cheese, divided*
- Mix sauce and cooked meat; set aside.
- Mix ricotta cheese and egg until well blended.
- Spoon 1 cup of the sauce mixture on bottom of 12x8-inch baking dish.
- Layer 1/2 of the lasagna noodles, 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture, 1/3 of the shredded cheese and 1/2 of the remaining sauce mixture in dish.
- Repeat layers, ending with sauce.
- Sprinkle with remaining shredded cheese.
- Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- Variation: To make without cooking lasagna noodles first, add 1/4 cup water to sauce and meat mixture.
- Assemble layers as directed, using uncooked noodles instead of cooked noodles.
- Cover baking dish tightly with foil.
- Increase baking time to 1 hour.
- Let stand as directed.
