Easy Hearty Lasagna

  1. Mix sauce and cooked meat; set aside.
  2. Mix ricotta cheese and egg until well blended.
  3. Spoon 1 cup of the sauce mixture on bottom of 12x8-inch baking dish.
  4. Layer 1/2 of the lasagna noodles, 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture, 1/3 of the shredded cheese and 1/2 of the remaining sauce mixture in dish.
  5. Repeat layers, ending with sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with remaining shredded cheese.
  7. Bake at 350F for 45 minutes.
  8. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Variation: To make without cooking lasagna noodles first, add 1/4 cup water to sauce and meat mixture.
  10. Assemble layers as directed, using uncooked noodles instead of cooked noodles.
  11. Cover baking dish tightly with foil.
  12. Increase baking time to 1 hour.
  13. Let stand as directed.
