Simple Fried Okra

  1. Add just enough oil in pan to cover the bottom.
  2. Heat on medium high.
  3. Chop desired amount of okra.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Toss okra in cornmeal until coated.
  6. Carefully add okra to pan.
  7. Fry until crisp, about 5 minutes.
