Peanut Butter Cake with Cocoa Frosting
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) peanut butter
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) butter
- 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp (5 ml). vanilla flavoring
- 2 cups (475 ml) all purpose flour
- 3 tsp (15 ml). baking powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml). salt
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml). cinnamon
- 1 cup (225 ml) milk
- 2 cups (475 ml) powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) cocoa powder
- 6 tbsp (90 ml) milk (or more)
- 1 tsp (5 ml). vanilla flavoring
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) peanut butter
- Cream together peanut butter, butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer.
- Add eggs, one at a time and beat well after each addition.
- Add the vanilla flavoring.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon, and add them to the beaten mixture, alternating with the milk, beat well.
- Spread batter evenly into a greased 13 X 9" cake pan.
- Bake 45 mins.
- at 350 degrees (175 C.).
- Cool and frost with Cocoa Frosting.
- Sift sugar and cocoa together in a mixing bowl.
- Add the peanut butter, vanilla flavoring, and milk.
- Blend together to desired consistency, (add more powdered sugar or milk, if needed).
- Spread on cake.
