Cinnamon-Roasted Apples

  1. Preheat oven to 450.
  2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, lemon juice, and 1/4 cup water.
  3. Halve apples and core using a spoon or melon baller.
  4. Toss apples in the sugar.
  5. Arrange apples, skin up in a baking dish then pour sugar over them.
  6. Tuck in cinnamon sticks and cover with foil.
  7. Bake until apples are easily pierced about 15-20 minutes.
