Granola Mix Recipe
- 5 c. old fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/4 pound shredded coconut
- 1 c. raw sunflower seeds
- 1/2 c. sesame seeds
- 1 1/2 c. minced almonds, pecans, walnuts or possibly combination
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. honey
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Raisins or possibly other dry fruits, if you like
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- In large bowl combine oats, wheat germ, coconut, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and nuts.
- Blend well.
- In a large saucepan combine brown sugar, water, oil, honey, molasses, salt, cinnamon and vanilla.
- Heat till sugar is dissolved, don't boil.
