Steak Or Chicken Parmesan
- 1 round steak or equal amount chicken
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- Progresso Italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 small 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Italian seasonings
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz. grated Mozzarella cheese
- Tenderize meat.
- Combine eggs, salt and pepper.
- Dip pieces of meat into eggs, then in crumbs.
- Brown on both sides in heated oil in skillet.
- Remove to baking dish.
- Pour oil from skillet, leaving any pieces of meat, etc.
- Stir in tomato sauce, garlic, butter, sugar and Italian seasonings.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Pour over meat.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake covered 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Uncover and top with Mozzarella cheese.
- Heat until cheese melts.
