White Sangria with Peaches
- One 750-ml bottle not-too-dry white wine, like Gewurztraminer or Riesling
- 1/4 cup Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
- 1 lime, peeled and sliced
- 1 orange, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup sliced ripe fresh or canned peaches
- 1/2 cup Sugar Syrup (page 660), or to taste
- Sparkling water
- In a large pitcher, combine the wine, Grand Marnier, lime, orange, and peaches.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Add the sugar syrup to taste.
- Serve in glasses with ice cubes and sparkling water
