colazione sul pane
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 oz Basil leaves rolled and chopped then sliced down the middle
- 1 Rosemary sprig
- 4 Fat garlic cloves
- 2 Roma tomatoes
- 1/4 lb Of hamburger or sausage
- 4 medium slices of Italian bread
- 2 Mushroom caps of any variety sliced thin
- 1/2 white onion roughly chopped
- 1 A little bit of shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 350 this step can be cut out if you choose to use a toaster for your bread.
- if you use the oven butter bread on both sides and set aside
- Whisk eggs and milk together until well blended and set aside
- Start browning your meat with the onions...
- When your meeting is almost done add some of your basil and your mushrooms
- Start cooking your eggs in a hot skillet with a little olive oil but do not scramble them just move them enough to allow uncooked egg to reach the bottom of the skillet this way they will be nice and fluffy you should time these to be done with your meat
- When you start your eggs place your bread in the oven it should be done at the same time everything else is add your shredded Parmesan to your eggs when they are done cooking and allow to melt
- the rest of your basil can be used as a garnish or you can put all of it in your meat when cooking
