Celery & Carrot Kimpira Stir-fry

  1. Slice the celery stalks into 1 cm diagonal pieces.
  2. Mince the leaves and set aside.
  3. Cut the carrot into thin matchsticks.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  5. Add the celery stalks and carrots.
  6. Stir fry for a few minutes on medium until the celery and carrots are starting to get a little softer.
  7. Add the sugar, mirin, soy sauce and salt.
  8. Keep stir frying until almost all of the liquid evaporates.
  9. Add the chopped up celery leaves and stir fry for another 1 - 2 minutes.
  10. Lastly put in a handful of katsuobushi (if you have it), mix and it's done
  11. Enjoy!
  12. Sometimes I like to put some sesame seeds on top too ^^
