Sirloin Tips & Mushrooms Recipe
- 1 1/4 lbs. sirloin, cubed to 1 inch pcs
- 1 clove garlic, chopped or possibly pressed
- 3/4 lbs. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1/3 c. water or possibly beef broth
- 1/2 c. dry red wine
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 c. whipping cream
- Parsley, minced
- Coat wide skillet with non-stick spray.
- Brown the meat; remove to casserole with cover.
- Add in 1/2 c. wine to skillet, saute/fry the mushrooms and add in to meat.
- Microwave casserole on high for 4 min, stirring each minute.
- Then bake at 275 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.
- Meanwhile, add in water or possibly broth, remaining wine and soy sauce to the pan in that the meat was browned.
- Bring to a boil, stirring up brownings till liquid is reduced to a glaze.
- Blend together the mustard, cornstarch and cream and add in to the pan.
- Boil till thick.
- Pour of juices from meat into pan, whisk till smooth and thick then fold back into meat.
- Sprinkle with parsley.
- Good served with warm rice with toasted almonds, Romaine salad and fruit.
- Serves 4.
