Homemade Crock-Pot Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 2 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/4 c. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- salt to taste
- 1 lb. ground meat (optional; sausage, beef, etc.)
- 1 large onion
- 1 large bell pepper
- 1/4 c. grated Romano cheese
- 1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- Brown meat, onion and bell pepper in medium pan.
- Pour off fat.
- Pour meat into crock-pot.
- Add all other ingredients and stir well.
- Cook in crock-pot on low.
- Heat all day (about 6 to 8 hours) or on high about 3 hours.
- During last 30 minutes to 1 hour, add cheeses and stir well.
- Serve over spaghetti noodles or ravioli (if sauce is too thick, add a can of water).
