Turkey Burgers
- 1 pkg. The Turkey Store Premium Fresh lean ground turkey
- 2 Tbsp. corn meal
- 2 tsp. ground cumin (if desired)
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt (if desired)
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice
- 1 egg white
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. frozen whole kernel corn, cooked and drained
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. salsa or picante sauce
- In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey, corn meal, cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper, lime juice, egg white and jalapeno pepper; mix lightly. Shape into 5 (1/2-inch thick) patties. Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat until oil sizzles, about 1 minute. Add turkey patties. Cook 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until browned and no longer pink in center. Meanwhile, in small saucepan, combine and heat corn and salsa. Serve with turkey burgers. Serves 5.
