Ham Balls And Noodles
- 1 lb. fully cooked ham
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 c. water
- hot cooked noodles
- 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. dried dill
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 c. sour cream
- Combine ham, bread crumbs, onion, dill, milk, mustard, egg and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
- Mix well.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- In a large skillet, heat oil and margarine.
- Brown ham balls.
- Remove ham balls to serving platter or dish.
- (Can be put in a baking dish and baked in a 325u0b0 oven.)
- Blend flour into ham drippings; gradually add water and stir until thick and smooth.
- Add sour cream and pepper.
- Heat through, but do not boil.
- Place noodles on platter; cover with ham balls.
- Pour sauce over ham balls.
- Makes 6 servings.
