Pecan Chocolate Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Soak pecans in the bourbon.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, beat melted butter, sugar, and eggs until fluffy.
  5. Blend in syrup, vanilla, and salt.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour mixture into pie crust.
  8. Sprinkle bourbon-soaked pecans over top of filling.
  9. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes.
  10. Check at 45 minutes, it may brown quickly.
