Roxi's Beef Stew

  1. Requires a 6 quart pressure cooker.
  2. Pour oil into cooker.
  3. Brown beef over medium heat.
  4. Add next 7 ingredients.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  6. Stir things up and cover with lid.
  7. Place pressure regulator on vent pipe and cook 5 minutes with pressure regulator rocking slowly.
  8. Cool cooker at once under cold water.
  9. Add the next 5 ingredients, stir well, and cook 3 minutes with pressure regulator rocking slowly.
  10. Cool cooker at once.
  11. Mix the flour and water.
  12. Add the paste to the stew and stir over medium heat to thicken.
