Crostini
- About 1/2 loaf good, crusty bread such as ciabatta, sliced as thinly as possible
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Gray salt and freshly ground pepper
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan, optional
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Brush the bread on both sides with the olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and bake until crusty and brown, about 10 to 12 minutes.
- Turn once about halfway through cooking, and dust with Parmesan, if using.
- Serve hot, warm, or room temperature.
