Tropical Fruit and Apple Cobbler-Crock Pot!

  1. Dough:.
  2. Stir together the flour, sugar and baking powder in a medium bowl.
  3. Cut in the shortening until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Stir in the marmalade.
  5. Add the water 1 tbsp at a time.
  6. More or less water may be needed depending on the texture of the marmalade.
  7. Cover with a damp paper towel and set aside to rest while you make the filling and sauce.
  8. Filling:.
  9. Make sure the cream cheese is very soft, I microwaved mine for 15 seconds.
  10. Stir all the filling ingredients together in another medium bowl.
  11. Sauce:.
  12. Pour the apple cider in a four cup measuring cup.
  13. Sprinkle the flour into the crackpot.
  14. Pour 1/2 cup of the cider over the flour and stir to dissolve the flour.
  15. Add the sugar to the measuring cup and stir to dissolve the sugar.
  16. Assembly:.
  17. Cut the dough into 4 equal pieces.
  18. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thick.
  19. Put 1/4 of the filling mixture into the center of the dough and fold over to make a half circle.
  20. Pinch the edges to seal.
  21. Place in the crock pot leaving room for the rest of the pastries.
  22. Repeat with the other 3 pieces of dough and the rest of the filling.
  23. Pour the cider/sugar mixture over the pastries.
  24. Put the lid on the crock pot and cook for 4 hours.
  25. The dough will puff up a little and break open to make it look like a cobbler.
