Swedish Meat Balls
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. onion flakes
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 twists of pepper mill
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 egg
- Soak bread crumbs and onion flakes in milk.
- Meanwhile, mix meat with salt, pepper, ginger, nutmeg and egg.
- Add the milk, onion and bread crumb mixture to the meat and stir lightly.
- Last, stir in the cream cheese.
- Form into little meat balls and place in a skillet with the melted butter.
- Shake pan back and forth while browning.
- This will keep the meat balls nice and round. After all the meat balls have become golden brown, pour the mushroom soup over them.
- Simmer until soup is melted and thoroughly distributed.
