Chocolate Covered Grapes
- 1 bunch Seedless Grapes, Washed And Dried For Several Hours
- 4 ounces, weight Milk Chocolate Pieces
- 4 ounces, weight Semisweet Chocolate Pieces
- 2 Tablespoons Shortening
- Pick the grapes off of the branch but keep the little stem attached you will use this as a handle.
- Wash grapes.
- Drain them thoroughly on paper towels for several hours.
- Size of the grapes can vary but medium sized grapes work best.
- Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper; set aside
- In a small saucepan combine milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate and shortening.
- Heat and stir over low heat until chocolate is melted.
- Holding each grape by the stem, dip partially into the melted chocolate.
- If necessary, spoon chocolate over grapes to coat.
- Let excess chocolate drip off.
- Place grapes, stem side up, on wax paper prepared cookie sheet.
- Chill for about 30 minutes until chocolate is firm.
