Baked Macaroni And Cheese
- 2 tsp. low-calorie margarine
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. onion powder
- 1/8 tsp. white pepper
- 3 c. low-calorie milk
- 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 5 c. cooked elbow macaroni
- Heat margarine in a large saucepan until melted, over low heat.
- Add flour, mustard, salt, onion powder and white pepper. Cook until bubbly, about 1 minute, stirring constantly with wire whisk.
- Gradually stir in milk.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
- Stir in 1 cup cheese and stir until cheese melts.
- Stir in macaroni.
- Spoon into a 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes before serving. Serves 12.
