Beer Baked Beans Recipe

• 1 pound yellow-eye beans
• 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3 tbsp. brown sugar
• 4 tbsp. Molasses
• 2 tbsp. ketchup
• 1 teaspoon dry mustard (optional)
• 1 lg. onion, diced
• 1 (16 ounce.) can of beer
• Salt pork (small piece)

1. Cover beans with water and soak overnight, covered.
2. Drain beans and put into crock pot.
3. Add in all ingredients and mix well.
4. Add in more beer if needed to cover beans.
5. Cook 6 hrs on high or possibly 9-10 hrs on low in crock pot or possibly in low oven (275 degrees) for most of the day.
