Barb's Special Sweet Breads Part 5 (Snails)

  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SNAILS.
  2. Place dough on a lightly floured board and roll into a large rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread with almond butter and plumped currants or raisins.
  4. Roll jelly roll style.
  5. Cut into 1 inch slices and place slices 2 inches apart on baking sheet, cut side down.
  6. Spoon Vanilla cream in the center of each.
  7. Let rise until light.
  8. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375F (190C).
  9. Ice and sprinkle with almonds.
