Taramind BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 large onion finely diced
- 2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 chillies finely chopped with seeds removed
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 2 tbsp taramind paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Prepare ingredients
- Put taramind paste in a cup of water and mix to make a concentrated liquid
- Pour oil into a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Turn down to low and cook onion until it begins to soften.
- After about 5 minutes add ground pepper, allspice and ginger powder.
- Toast these spices for about a minute.
- Then add the rest of the ingredients except taramind.
- Raise the heat to medium and bring to a gentle boil, stirring often.
- Stir in concentrate taramind water and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Simmer and stir for around half an hour, then remove from heat and allow mixture to cool to room temperature.
- When cooled transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Bottle and refrigerate.
