Shasta Mountain Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease, then flour two 9 x 9-inch pans. Melt chocolate and butter over low heat; cool.
  3. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla until thick and smooth, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the chocolate-butter mixture, then slowly add the flour.
  5. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the cookie crumbs and most of the pecans. Spread the batter evenly into pans and sprinkle with remaining nuts.
  7. Bake about 40 minutes, or until set.
  8. (Brownies will be soft in the center.)
  9. Let cool completely.
  10. Yields 18 brownies. Enjoy.
