Reveille'S Favorite Dish
- 1 lb. ground steer meat (using Longhorn type, if possible)
- 2 oz. ground horse meat (Red Raider and Mustang type)
- 2 oz. bear meat
- 2 oz. cat meat
- 2 oz. frog legs, chopped
- 1 c. Gravy Train chunks, crushed
- 1 owl's egg
- 2 (12 oz.) hog chops
- 1/2 c. flour
- Preheat bonfire to 400u0b0.
- Mix the first 7 ingredients in a large bowl.
- Make sure that all ingredients are mixed well.
- Trim any excess fat off the chops and make a diagonal cut along the side of each chop.
- Stuff the meat mixture into each chop, filling each cavity well.
- Dredge the chops in flour and broil for 45 minutes over a roaring bonfire, basting the chops with butter.
- Serve immediately on a bed of "cotton," preferably on New Year's Day.
