BBQ Beef & Bacon Turnovers
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 2 tablespoons water
- 5 slices bacon, chopped
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium (1/2 cup) onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 (13.8-ounce) tube refrigerated pizza crust dough
- 3 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes Deli American, each cut in half diagonally
- Sesame seed, if desire
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Combine egg and water in bowl; beat with fork until frothy.
- Set aside.
- Grease baking sheet; set aside.
- Place bacon in 10-inch nonstick skillet.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 4-6 minutes or until crisp.
- Remove bacon with slotted spoon to paper towel; set aside.
- Place ground beef and onion into same skillet.
- Cook over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink.
- Drain; stir in cooked bacon and barbecue sauce.
- Remove from heat; cool about 20 minutes.
- Unroll pizza crust dough on clean working surface; press into 15x10-inch rectangle.
- Cut into 6 (5-inch) squares.
- Place diagonal pieces of cheese so points are 1/2 inch from 1 corner of each dough square.
- Top cheese with 1/4 cup meat mixture; spread over cheese.
- Fold half of dough over to form triangle; pinch edges to seal tightly.
- Place onto prepared baking sheet; crimp edges firmly with fork.
- Brush dough with egg mixture; sprinkle with sesame seed, if desired.
- Bake for 17 to 19 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve hot.
