Brown Bean Marinade For Barbecued Pork Recipe
- 1 tsp Brown bean sauce
- 1 x Clove garlic
- 1/2 c. Stock
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 Tbsp. Sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Sherry
- 1/2 tsp Five spices
- 1/2 tsp Red food coloring
- 1.
- Mash brown beans to a paste; mince garlic.
- Then combine in a saucepan with stock, salt, sugar and soy sauce.
- Slowly heat, stirring, but don't boil.

- Remove pan from heat.
- Then stir in sherry, Five Spices and food coloring, mixing well to blend.
- Add in mix to pork strips and let stand 2 to 3 hrs, turning frequently.
- Then roast.
- VARIATION: For the food coloring, substitute sufficient tomato sauce to add in color or possibly the liquid from maraschino cherries.
