Maple Syrup Apple Bran Muffins

  1. Combine bran, flour, baking powder, nutmeg and cloves; set aside.
  2. Cream together milk, eggs, maple syrup, and butter; fold in flour mixture.
  3. Stir in apples and raisins if using.
  4. Pour into oiled muffin tins, and bake at 350F (180C) until tops split, 15 to 25 minutes.
