Delicious Sausage-Potato Casserole
- 8 oz. precooked sausage links
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of celery soup
- 1/4 c. milk
- 3 c. cooked, sliced potatoes
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (1 lb.) can sauerkraut, drained
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
- Brown sausage links in a skillet; remove.
- Add butter to drippings and saute onion until tender.
- Stir in soup and milk; heat through.
- Place potatoes in a 2-quart casserole and pour in soup mixture.
- Top with cheese, then sauerkraut.
- Bury the browned links in the sauerkraut.
- Place remaining sausages in a pinwheel design on top of casserole.
- Sprinkle with caraway seed.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Serves 4 to 5.
