Classic Brownies

  1. Heat oven to 250u0b0.
  2. Chop the chocolate; put into ovenproof pan and melt the chocolate, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Remove chocolate and increase temperature to 325u0b0.
  3. Butter 9-inch square baking pan.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder and salt with electric mixer; beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
  5. Beat in eggs 1 at a time.
  6. Slowly beat in chocolate, then the vanilla.
  7. Reduce speed to low.
  8. Beat in flour mixture until mixed, then add walnuts.
  9. Put in pan.
  10. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
