Beefed-Up Biscuit Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1/4 c. chopped bell pepper
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 3/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 (10 count) can biscuits
- 1 egg, beaten
- Brown meat, onions and bell peppers in large skillet, drain well.
- Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic powder. Simmer while preparing dough. Separate 5 biscuits making 10; press into 9 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cram and egg in bowl; mix well. Remove meat from heat; stir in cheese mixture.
- Pour over dough.
- Separate other 5 biscuits making 10; cover meat mixture.
- Sprinkle rest of cheese over top of biscuits. Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
