Homestyle Sweet And Sour Spareribs

  1. Trim excess fat from spareribs and cut into 2-inch lengths. Put a large, heavy frying pan or a wok over high heat.
  2. Sprinkle about a teaspoon of salt into it.
  3. When the pan is hot, add half the spareribs.
  4. The ribs will brown in their own fat.
  5. Stir the ribs around so they won't burn; they should be brown on all sides within 10 minutes.

rack spareribs, sherry, cider vinegar, ginger root, chili peppers, pineapple, water, black soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, water, cornstarch, sesame oil
