Black Pepper Chicken

  1. Combine all ingredients except chicken, onions hot pepper and green onions in a bowl and whisk well, set aside.
  2. In a large skillet heat enough oil to lightly coat bottom of pan.
  3. Add chicken and brown all sides.
  4. Remove chicken from pan to a plate.
  5. Add shallot and hot pepper to pan and cook until softened, about 2 minutes.
  6. Add sauce and cook at a simmer until it becomes a slightly thickened sauce, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. add green onions.
  8. Return chicken to sauce and just heat through, a minute or two.
  9. Serve with white rice, recipe included
