Chili
- 2 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 lb. Hot Jimmy Dean Sausage
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
- 2 cans Chili Magic (Texas)
- 1 can Chili Beans, hot
- 1 can Dark Red Kidney Beans
- 2 cans Diced Tomatoes
- 3 cans Tomato Paste
- 1 c. sugar
- salt
- pepper
- chili powder
- garlic powder/salt
- onion powder/salt
- sweet basil
- oregano
- Brown meat together.
- About half way through browning, add onion and bell pepper.
- Drain grease from meat mixture.
- Pour mixture into large stockpot.
- Add all other ingredients.
- Bring slowly to a boil.
- Simmer for at least an hour.
- Serve with shredded cheese, sour cream and oyster crackers.
- Yields approx. 15-20 bowls.
- Freezes well.
