Pan-Fried Rice Balls Made with Soy Sauce Seasoned Bonito Flakes!
- 700 grams Plain cooked rice
- 20 grams Bonito flakes
- 1/2 tbsp Japanese dashi stock
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp White sesame seeds
- 1 Sesame oil
- 1 enough to drizzle in step 6 Soy sauce
- Prepare the measured ingredients.
- Add the dashi stock, soy sauce, and white sesame seeds to the bonito flakes.
- Mix together well.
- Add the mixture from Step 2 into the cooked rice.
- Shape the rice balls.
- I am using a mould to do this.
- Place a suitable amount of sesame oil into a pan and fry the rice balls on both sides.
- When they have browned, drizzle both sides with a bit of soy sauce.
- Turn to check that both sides have developed a delicious golden brown colour, and it's done!
- All finished.
