Healthy Banana Bread Recipe
- 1/2 c. shortening or possibly salad oil
- 1 c. brown sugar (or possibly 1/2 c. honey & 1/2 c. brown sugar)
- 3 med. size ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 beaten Large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. 100% whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt & cinnamon
- 1/2 c. nuts (opt.)
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add in bananas, vanilla and Large eggs.
- Combine remaining ingredients and add in to first mix.
- Stir only till mixed well.
- Bake in well greased loaf pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour, 10 min or possibly till browned and crusty.
- Chocked full of nutrition.
