Marinated Flank Steak
- 2 lbs. flank steak or London Broil
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1-1 inch piece fresh ginger
- 1 med. onion
- 1/2 c. fresh parsley
- 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 Tbsp. ground chili powder
- 1 tsp. tumeric
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. Japanese soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
- 1 dried red chili pepper, crushed
- Marinade:
- Peel and crush the garlic and; and ginger, mince fine; finely slice the onion; snip the parsley and chop coarsely. Combine the garlic, ginger, onion, parsley, cumin, chili powder, tumeric, oregano, olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, sherry, and the crushed red chili pepper.
- (The marinade can be frozen and reused once or twice.)
