Brown Sugar & Kinako Freeze-dried Tofu Snack
- 2 Koya tofu
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
- 4 tbsp Hot water
- 1 Kinako
- We'll be using koya tofu for this recipe.
- Start by dissolving brown sugar in hot water.
- Preheat the oven to 160C (320F).
- Put the koya tofu in water for about 10 seconds.
- Make sure to squeeze all the water out of the koya tofu.
- Then cut it in strips about 5mm thick.
- These snacks taste best thin.
- Line up the cut koya tofu in a shallow pan or plate.
- Pour brown sugar you dissolved in hot water on top.
- Cover with kinako.
- Spread parchment paper on top of a baking sheet and place your tofu strips across the paper.
- Bake them in the oven at 160C (320F) for about 20 minutes.
- Then flip them over and bake at the same temperature for another 10 minutes.
- Once they are baked, you can just let them cool on the baking sheet.
