Best Broccoli Soup

  1. Bring water to boil.
  2. Add broccoli, celery and carrots; boil 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Drain; set aside.
  4. In same kettle, saute onion in oleo until tender.
  5. Stir in flour to form smooth paste.
  6. Gradually add broth and milk, stirring constantly.
  7. Bring to boil; boil and stir 1 minute.
  8. Add vegetables and remaining ingredients.
  9. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
  10. Makes 2 quarts.
