No Bake Fruit Cake
- 2 (15 oz.) boxes vanilla wafers
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 c. white Karo syrup
- 1 lb. red candied cherries
- 1 lb. green candied cherries
- 1 lb. candied pineapple
- 1 (15 oz.) box golden raisins
- 1 pt. pecans, chopped
- 1 pt. English walnuts, chopped
- Crush wafers; mix with milk and syrup.
- Let warm to room temperature.
- In a separate bowl, mix fruits and nuts.
- Mix well with wafers.
- Pack tightly in a buttered pan that can be put in oven.
- Put into refrigerator overnight.
- Next day, preheat oven to 400u0b0 for 15 minutes.
- Then turn oven off and place cake in oven about 15 minutes.
- Run knife around edge of pan and turn cake out onto double layer of foil.
- Wrap and keep in refrigerator.
