Hibiscus-Glazed Turkey
- 1 frozen turkey (14 lb.), thawed
- 6 poblano chiles, roasted, peeled
- 12 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
- 2 Tbsp. KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3/4 cup orange marmalade
- Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Remove discard neck and giblets from turkey cavities.
- Rinse turkey; drain well.
- Free legs from tucked position, but do not cut the band of skin.
- Use rubber spatula or your hand to loosen skin over breast, starting at body cavity opening by legs.
- Place turkey, breast side up, on rack in roasting pan.
- Place chiles and bacon between turkey flesh and skin.
- Cover breast loosely with foil to prevent over-browning.
- Bake 2-1/2 hours.
- Meanwhile, bring water to boil in saucepan.
- Add flowers; stir.
- Return to boil.
- Simmer on medium-low heat 8 min.
- or until liquid is reduced to 1-1/3 cups.
- Strain liquid; set aside.
- Heat dressing in small saucepan on medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 3 min.
- Add strained hibiscus liquid and marmalade; stir.
- Cook 15 min., stirring occasionally.
- Cool.
- Brush turkey with 1/2 cup marmalade glaze.
- Bake, uncovered, 30 min.
- or until turkey is done (165F), brushing occasionally with remaining glaze.
- Let turkey stand 15 min.
- at room temperature before carving.
